Seeking Project Manager - Commercial Office Projects

CM Commercial has openings for experienced Project Managers in San Jose and San Francisco to lead client construction projects throughout the Bay Area.  Projects vary in scope, complexity and size; including office tenant improvements, CBC, Lab and Manufacturing type construction.  The Project Manager is responsible for the overall coordination of the project from design through implementation, managing scope, budget, schedule and all communications with the project team. 



  • Manage and coordinate construction projects of varying size and complexity.

  • Lead project meetings and document outcome.

  • Manage coordination between team of architects, engineers, contractors and vendors.

  • Prepare and manage project schedules and budgets

  • Control project quality and ensure compliance with Client standards & governmental requirements.

  • Review contracts, RFP, RFI’s

  • Review and approve proposals and invoices.

  • Close out of the construction project.



This is a management position, not a superintendent role.  The successful candidate is a leader with demonstrated success managing a full range of services for large (30,000 square feet plus) office and industrial projects.   Project Managers must be able to assist Clients with strategic as well as tactical matters.  Project Managers will manage all facets of a project including scope development and bidding, reviewing space plans and designs, overseeing construction, creating and managing detailed budgets and schedules all the way through to coordinating IT, Security, FF&E requirements.  Some projects may also require managing the Client’s relocation.


Must have excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, MS Project) and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Five years or more of direct experience in construction management is required. A degree in a related field (industrial engineering, industrial technology, construction management, architecture) is desired but not required.  Project Management certification highly desirable.


The project manager may work on more than one project at a time depending on the scope and size of any given project.  Some projects may require travel.  Must have reliable transportation and be willing to drive to locations throughout the Bay Area.
